“Updated review: I recently decided to return to V Medical after taking a long break from their treatments. Previously, I had stopped going because I experienced repeated breakouts after laser sessions and wanted to give my skin time to stabilise. Now that my skin has improved, I thought I would give it another try. However, my recent visit was disappointing. During the session, I was pressured into signing an additional $4,000 package to switch my existing pico laser treatments to a different treatment. What I find particularly concerning is that these recommendations consistently come from the beautician rather than the doctor. I told the beautician clearly that I was not familiar with the treatment being recommended and needed time to do my own research before making a decision. Despite this, she continued to pressure me to sign the package on the spot. I find this extremely unethical—this is a significant financial commitment, and I believe I should be entitled to properly understand and consider the treatment before agreeing to anything. What makes this even more frustrating is that this is not the first time it has happened. The reason I have so many pico sessions in the first place is due to a similar experience previously, where I was pressured into purchasing a package before I was ready. At that time, the doctor had only recommended pico laser treatments, but the beautician pushed me into signing up for additional acne laser sessions as well. Overall, this pattern of sales pressure and lack of proper medical-led consultation makes me very uncomfortable and undermines my trust in the clinic. +++++ Extremely Disappointed – Feels Like a Hard-Sell MLM Operation Using an alias here because frankly, I don’t see the point of revealing my identity when it’s clear that the only fair resolution—a refund—will never happen with this clinic. My experience with V Medical Aesthetics Clinic (Tanjong Pagar) has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. From the very beginning, I was subjected to a hard sell for treatments that were clearly not suitable for my skin. I was pushed into signing a massive \$6,000 Quantum package *without* being allowed to first try out the treatments. The staff insisted that the pricing was a “first-timer promo” and if I didn’t commit immediately, I’d lose the deal. That pressure alone should have been a red flag. Initially, I was nudged toward a 10x Pico + 10x Acne Laser package—*despite* the fact that the acne laser wasn’t even recommended by their own doctor during my consultation. On my first (trial) visit, I only did the Pico laser, which was just okay. However, on the second visit when they combined Pico with the acne laser, my skin reacted badly and broke out significantly. When I raised my concerns and requested a refund, I was met with zero empathy and essentially gaslighted—told it was *my own problem* and that no refunds were allowed. How is it my fault when they pressured me into treatments I hadn’t even tried? After multiple rounds of unpleasant negotiation, I was begrudgingly allowed to convert the acne laser sessions to Pico sessions. That left me with an overwhelming *20 sessions* of Pico—far too many. I went through about 10 of them and saw *no visible improvement* in my skin. In fact, my complexion has only started to improve after I stopped going and returned to traditional facials—no gimmicks, no overhype, just proper skincare. At this point, I’ll likely forfeit the remaining sessions. I simply don’t want to risk another breakout from a treatment that has consistently failed to deliver results. I *highly* do not recommend this clinic. The experience felt more like being caught in a gimmicky MLM trap than receiving professional aesthetic care. There are many more reputable clinics in Singapore—this is not one of them.”

“Tried the Pico laser trial at V Medical (SBF) today, first time experience with Dr Adrian and Adeline. Overall really smooth and straightforward. The whole process was fast, well-explained, and comfortable. There was a slight tingling sensation during the laser which they mentioned beforehand, so nothing unexpected. Appreciated that there was no hard selling at all, just clear explanations and letting me decide. They applied sunscreen after the session and made sure I was good before leaving. “I had a really bad experience at this branch. I originally booked Botox at Orchard, but they have no slot for the coming week so I came here instead. The doctor here, I think his name started with Z, told me he would inject 140 units. Because the doctor at Orchard previously suggested 200 units so I ask him could I do more. He basically said, “Oh, then you can go find him. If you think he’s right, then go to him.” He said it with this weird smile and a very passive aggressive attitude, like I was questioning him just for asking a normal question. I told him, “I’m just asking. I’m not a doctor, of course I need to ask.” But he kept saying, “You can go find him then. I’m not forcing you.” I was very uncomfortable by how mean and he was. still did the treatment because I didn’t want to go through the trouble of booking again, but the whole experience was awful. He barely spoke during the procedure, gave me no aftercare advice, didn’t mention basic things like not lying down afterward, and didn’t show me the Botox vial before injecting it, which many doctors do. This was such a bad experience and I really regret coming to this branch. Same brand, but completely different attitude and service compared to Orchard. The staff here also felt unfriendly, the atmosphere was bad, and I will never come back again.”
