“I had originally intended to wait for the Christmas promotion before signing up for a new treatment package. However, I would first like to formally raise a serious concern regarding my recent experience with your therapist, Ms Carmen Tan. On 23 September, I attended an appointment for IPL treatment of my underarms and pubic area. Before beginning the treatment, Ms Tan did not greet me or communicate with me appropriately. More importantly, she did not complete my underarm treatment. While another therapist was attending to the IPL treatment of my pubic area, Ms Tan left the treatment room without informing me. As my intimate area was exposed at that moment, opening and leaving through the door without any warning made me feel extremely vulnerable, embarrassed and uncomfortable. I sincerely feel that this was a serious breach of my privacy and dignity. Given the intimate nature of the treatment, therapists should exercise a high level of professionalism, discretion and sensitivity at all times. Unfortunately, Ms Tan’s conduct demonstrated a concerning lack of basic courtesy and respect for a customer’s privacy. I request that management investigate this matter, explain why my underarm treatment was not completed, and clarify what measures will be taken to prevent a similar incident from happening again. I would also appreciate a formal apology and an appropriate resolution regarding the incomplete treatment. This experience has affected my confidence in continuing my treatments and signing up for a new package with your establishment. I hope management will treat this complaint seriously and respond promptly.”
