“Been coming here for years and have always had great experiences with different masseuses, only changing when they left, so this was a very disappointing first. Was assigned Irene (I think), a petite older lady. The massage actually started off well, but halfway through she repeatedly pushed a $23 oil add-on. Nothing wrong with upselling, but maybe do it at the start - not when I'm already at least 20 minutes in. After declining multiple times, the quality of the massage nosedived. Suddenly it became all elbows on bone, awkward pressure points, and more pain than relief. Maybe I just drew the short straw - your mileage may vary. But if "no thanks" turns a good massage into a punishment, that's not exactly the relaxing experience I was paying for. The irony is the sales pitch hurt more than the massage... until it didn't.”
