“I have known Mark for a couple of years, dating back to his previous workplace in Holland Village, and I have continued to look for him because he is one of the few massage therapists whose style suits me perfectly. I have always booked the 90-minute treatment. Typically, he begins with around the first quarter of the session as a dry massage, using kneading techniques to loosen tight muscles and release deep tension. He then transitions into an oil massage, using long, flowing strokes while paying focused attention to areas that need more work. The progression feels natural and effective, allowing the body to relax while still addressing problem areas thoroughly. His pressure is just right, and he makes excellent use of his fingers, knuckles, forearms, and even his knees where appropriate. Every movement feels purposeful rather than simply following a routine. One quality I especially appreciate is his consistency. Whatever he does on one side of the body, he naturally balances on the other side. If I mention a particular sore or tight area, he almost never misses it. Even more impressively, if I point out a tender spot during the session, he is able to return to that exact location later without needing to search for it again. In my experience, many therapists struggle with this, but Mark has an exceptional sense of touch and body awareness. Beyond his technical skills, Mark is a true gentleman. Having chatted with him over the years, I have come to know him as someone with a humble background and an equally humble personality.
