“I visited Raffles Sentosa Spa earlier while waiting for a friend. While I was there, I witnessed an employee enter through the front entrance intending to use the restroom. He was then called over by a bald man sitting beside a lady at the front counter, and was reprimanded for wanting to use the restroom. It was uncomfortable to witness, especially in a luxury hospitality environment. A restroom is a basic necessity, and seeing a staff member being spoken to in that manner left a very poor impression on me. Hospitality should extend not only to guests but also to the people working behind the scenes. If this is how staff are treated in front of guests, it does make me wonder about the experience employees have when guests are not around. I sincerely hope guests are not spoken to in the same manner. Unfortunately, the incident left a very unpleasant impression and left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend the property based on what I witnessed.”

Tucked deep within the tropical rainforest adjacent to Sofitel, the spa occupies a former British military barracks dating back to the 1930s. The red brick walls, once witness to warfare and commands, retain their raw textured character. This rugged historical shell has been preserved, enclosing a serene sanctuary for wellness within. Formerly the spa precinct of Sofitel, the venue has undergone a magnificent transformation under Raffles. Unlike the newly built sections of the resort, this space carries a distinctive patina of time. Boasting comprehensive facilities ideal for half-day retreats, the spa features a 22-metre outdoor pool, a cascading plunge pool, outdoor mud baths and whirlpools. Inside, guests can enjoy hot and cold vitality pools, steam rooms, hammams and infrared saunas. This complete wellness circuit enables visitors to fully unwind. Complementing these amenities are a hair and nail salon, fitness centre and light-dining bistro, turning the compound into a self-contained wellness haven. All twelve treatment rooms are situated on the upper floor, including one couple’s suite. Original timber beams have been conserved, maintaining generous ceiling heights. Every room offers superior privacy and sound insulation. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping rainforest views, as if gazing through a vast natural viewfinder. You can listen to the white noise of wind rustling through foliage while the therapist’s hands glide gently across your skin.”

“I recently enjoyed the 90-minute prenatal massage at Raffles Sentosa Spa and had such a wonderful experience. My therapist, Sarah, was incredibly warm and kind, making me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The heated massage bed was such a lovely touch, and as an expectant mother, I felt completely supported and relaxed throughout the treatment. After the massage, I spent some time by the pool and enjoyed a delicious lunch, which made for the perfect spa day.
