“Update: After I posted this review, the salon reached out to me and offered to redo my nails at no charge. I went back for the new set, and I’m really happy with how it turned out! I appreciate the care they took to make things right😊 Original review: The salon has a lovely, relaxing ambience, and the staff are friendly. It’s also really nice that you can watch Netflix, HBO, etc. while getting your nails done. I got a gel manicure on my natural nails. I specifically asked for an oval shape, and insisted that I did not want a diamond shape. The technician agreed, but unfortunately shaped them in diamond anyway. Since my nails weren’t very long, the shape looked a little odd. When I mentioned it, she apologised several times, and I said it was fine. The bigger issue was that the gel started chipping after exactly one week. I’ve never had this happen before, even with random neighbourhood salons, my gel manicures usually last until I choose to remove them. The overall experience was pleasent, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with the final result and quality.”

“Update: I recieved a personal message from the salon to apologize and respond to my review. They did offer a refund and apologized for the misunderstandings. I have removed my comments surrounding the misunderstandings. While I do appreciate this, I think as a starting business they do need to take more care in customer service. I booked the **“Classic Dry Pedicure (No Gel)”** specifically because I didn’t want gel, but staff acted like I had booked the wrong service and seemed annoyed or uninterested from the start. The pedicure itself felt rushed and inexperienced. The callus care was minimal and my heels were still visibly cracked and dry afterward. The filing was painful enough that my feet hurt afterward and I was scraped with electric the file (which I book no gel so I don't get the electric file). The hot towel also left my dress wet, and my nails did not look particularly good when finished. They later emailed saying they are new and still starting out. I appreciate the honesty, but unfortunately the inexperience shows. For the price they charge, I expected much better quality, care, and professionalism.”

“first time at The Beauty Scene & definitely not my last <3 meticulous & professional work by Yuki! The designs she also did up are super chio & totally the vision I had in mind. Gave her control over the mix & match & was 100% satisfied. Also super comfortable space & friendly people. I had different design for each nail so I spent quite sometime here. You can pick whatever you want to watch here & the chair is hella comfortable. I do think the place thought of everything because of the cup holder, snacks (I shy to take tho) & overall set up. Really loved visiting here & would recommend anyone looking for a good ass nail tech (& more) to visit them. Ps location is also v convenient.”

“letrice has been my go-to nail tech for YEARS and i literally trust her with my life. recently even asked her to do wtv she wants with my hands and 10/10 no regrets because she did the black and white chrome design which was so good. her move to CQ was also THE BEST thing because it's next to my office so i can head down anytime. the new place is also super vibey and u can watch wtv you want or just spill tea. never a bad time with letrice and the gang hehe. #justiceforthebeautyscene <3”
