“I had a very bad experience at this clinic in bukit batok CDC for melasma treatment. Done all the necessary medical declaration, and my doctor approval for laser treatments. Also had the usual detailed consultation with the doctor before the laser. I commited to a package of close to SGD4k that included a couple of products that are compulsory. The doctor chose to use fractional laser which uses heat despite knowing I'm susceptible to inflammation. He either set the laser power too high, or left the laser beam on one spot for too long. This resulted in my face having grid marks for over 2 months! Went back to the clinic 2 weeks after the treatment when the marks didn't go away. The doctor said that it's because of my medical condition. But I was upfront with him and this was even discussed at length during consultant. He offered to do skin toning and seemed confident it would help, and prescribed hydroquinone. Unfortunately all these didn't work. So I went back after another 2 weeks with no visible improvement. By then, I had lost confidence of his capability in helping me resolve my issue. I suggested to seek second opinion elsewhere. He finally agreed to refund the balance amount of the treatment. However, to add salt to the wound, I was charged the full non package price for that first session. Although I felt that was unethical, I went along as I urgently need to seek help somewhere else to get my burnt face treated. I managed to get my issue resolved at another aesthetic clinic after a couple of sessions and it cost me less than SGD1.5k in all. No products purchase required. I was reluctant to share my review initially. But when my daughter came to know about what happened, she suggested that I should do it so others could be more cautious about getting something that is more than what they need.”
