“Ngl, I had procrastinated alot to write this review LOL Sorry Roy & Wayne 😅 This 5-stars review dedicated to my director stylist, Roy who brought back the faith in me to give Vintage a 2nd chance. I think back in 2023, I've bought the package (director cut+ rebonding/treatment) cos of friendly receptionist however, previous director's service was totally unsatisfactory as he burnt my forehead with flat iron and I've told him to be gentle with my helix piercing multiple times but made it worse by rubbing it against my ears roughly while washing that it got inflamed so bad and I need to let my piercing go permanently to heal properly (fml)...After that terrible episode, I've hesitated to come back but since I've alr bought the package, I've avoided the day he's not around (I hate writing bad reviews cos I dun wanna face the hostility they'd give) and just opt for senior stylist instead as they're way better than him. Because of that, it took me so long to use up my package until I have like 3 sessions left (most of the time I go for treatment option cos I'm afraid my forehead will be burnt again if I chose rebonding PTSD lol) That's when I met Roy as a new director and he attended to me friendly though I was so eager to get it over with my package. Despite my coldness, he still throughly analyzed my hair texture, condition etc to recommend the right kind of treatment without hard selling me anything. Most importantly, he really knew what he was doing and very professional that I felt more ease and left the salon satisfied that day with the intention to come back again. During my 2nd visit, I was greeted by another very friendly and enthusiastic stylist, Wayne who could converse with me in English fluently (my Chinese vocab is limited to salon terms 🥲) He also addressed my hair concerns and answered my questions about what to do with my damaged hair without sugarcoating the facts and hard selling. I felt comfortable throughout the session and I've decided to sign up for another package with Vintage again cos of Roy & Wanye. (Thanks alot for home-care treatments) To summarise, I'm so happy that I finally found two reliable solid hairstylists who really are professional and knowledgeable enough to entrust my hair with and lowkey wanna gatekeep them but decided not to cos their hardwork and dedication to their job definitely deserves a big shout out. Other staffs are also very friendly and overall, this salon passed the vibe check ☺️ Do check this out when you all are in Jurong East. ✌🏼”
