“Shopowners were making fun of my Mandarin proficiency among themselves, even though I was trying my best to communicate with them and struggled to explain what lashes I wanted. They also did a poor job at giving me a gel manicure. I visited this place a week ago. When the lady helped me do a gel manicure, the nail polish didn’t dry properly between each layer of paint. My nail polish was scraped out, scratching the surface of my raw nail, and polish was re-applied. This made my bare nails thinner. The lady repeated this 4 times on multiple nails and got really frustrated with how the nails wouldn’t dry properly in the machine and she started scrubbing the polish off my nails even harder each time because she got so frustrated. At the last try she became pretty aggressive and hurt my thumb. She finished painting my nails but after that I noticed there were air bubbles between the layers of nail polish on my nail, like how people paste screen protectors on their smartphones carelessly and accidentally leave air bubbles inbetween the screen and protector. Today the nail polish got pierced and the top layer started peeling off all on its own like the image below. And I realised the inner layer of the nail polish wasn’t even dry 🫠 So I spent 1.5 hours doing a simple short nail gel express manicure and it wasn’t even done properly. I need to redo them.”
