“This review concerns Ayomi’s nail services and the handling of my complaint. My experience with their laser and threading services has been great. Following a gel removal and classic manicure on 31 August, all my fingernails were visibly damaged and deformed, with thinning, dents, weakness and breakage. One nail became painful, bled and appeared to lift and separate. This has been a painful and distressing experience that I am still dealing with. I sought medical attention from a GP and a dermatologist. The dermatologist documented multiple fingernail abnormalities, including nail separation and shedding, with findings clinically consistent with traumatic nail changes. I was advised to avoid nail colour and further nail treatments, protect and moisturise my nails, and allow approximately six months for them to fully grow out. Ayomi refunded the $38.80 classic manicure fee and said they would review their procedures and staff, while stating that they could not establish the cause from the information available. I subsequently emailed the company address they provided but have received no response or update on the review’s outcome. A refund does not resolve the ongoing damage, discomfort or months of recovery. I’m sharing my experience so other customers are aware, and I expect management to follow through with a substantive response addressing my complaint and the outcome of their review.”
